Training

Here are the instructions below to obtain a X-ray badge.

• Go to www.princeton.edu/training and log in to the Employee Learning Center.
• Under “At Your Desk”, click “eLearning”.
• Click “Environmental Health and Safety” within the eLearning tab.
• Scroll down to “Radiation Safety” subsection.
  • Complete X-ray Safety for X-ray Diffraction Users

Just a couple of notes about minor problems people may encounter:

• There are a few links to URLs throughout the training. If you click on links that go to non-Princeton pages, two web pages may appear. One is a blank extra web page (I haven’t been able to figure out why). You should just close that blank page and will then see the actual web page of interest). But if you click on a Princeton-based URL, that blank extra webpage doesn’t appear.
• For a couple of slides, clicking on the slide doesn’t cause the slide to advance to the next slide. However, the navigation bar at the bottom of the slide works, so just click on the forward button on the navigation bar to move to the next slide. I’ll figure out what’s going on and will fix it later, since it’s a very minor issue.

At the end of the training presentation, there’s a form to complete. Click Submit to email the form to me. I’ll then know I need to issue badges and to send out the training completion email to you.
